Culture Encounters is excited to introduce a Cultural Immersion Initiative designed to bring global cultures directly into schools. Through engaging presentations, performances, and interactive activities, students explore diverse traditions, histories, and perspectives in meaningful and memorable ways.
In partnership with the Heritage Village Project, the series launches with a dynamic 30 to 45 minute assembly led by Kojjo Opoku-Reeves, a Ghanaian educator and storyteller. Through music, storytelling, and interactive dialogue, Kojjo brings history to life as he guides students through the roots of the African diaspora and the vibrant traditions of Ghanaian culture. Students are invited to experience heritage as part of a powerful global story while building curiosity, connection, and appreciation for cultural diversity.
Designed for K to 12 students, this program offers schools an enriching opportunity to help young people engage with the cultures that shape our shared world and develop the awareness needed to thrive as global citizens.
